Coder Auditor

Position Summary:
The position will be responsible for implementation of and compliance coding policies and procedures; compliance to all external regulatory agency coding rules and regulations; conducting of internal enterprise-wide coding audits; tracking of internal audit results; enterprise-wide training coding, audit, physician and clinician personnel; support via auditing and training the enterprise-wide corrective action plans for coding, audit, physician and clinician personnel and more!
Minimum Requirements:
- Two to three years college level courses and one year healthcare coding, auditing or compliance related experience OR four years healthcare coding, auditing or compliance related experience.
- Must have any one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC-A, CPC-H-A, CPC-H, CPC or RHIT/RHIA with achievement of coding credential within 12 months from date of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail and results oriented.
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
- Medical terminology, ICD-9, CPT-4 and HCPCS knowledge required.
